Nice place, speedy svc. Everything was fair until the register. Paid $29 and change (with 20%tip) for an omelet and oj. Yes I asked for broccoli, turkey bacon, and spinach but a third of a hundred bucks for breakfast for a single person felt unreasonable to me. Could be a demographic or even a me thing though.

Effie's is basically a historic landmark in West Hartford in line with AC Petersons. Their menu has a Mediterranean twist unlike Peterson's and is more upscale diner. Staff is friendly and attentive, food was a nice portion. Can be very busy on the weekends and their parking lot is small. But I highly recommend trying it out at least once!

Effie’s a great spot to grab a New England breakfast and popular Greek dishes. All the dishes I’ve had here have been delicious. The West Coast eggs Benedict is so good. The specials are also really good (most recently, the zucchini scramble was chefs kiss). I highly recommend the Greek fries with a side of tzatziki (our waitress recommended it and I was not disappointed).

Clean and friendly atmosphere, fresh and delicious food, and good serving sizes. My wife had the Greek omelet with chicken and loved it and I had the house made corn beef has omelet that was delicious. Kids meals and salads were fresh too. Will definitely be back.

The only thing I would recommend is a little more flavor. The French toast needs cinnamon and vanilla in the egg mixture to give it a more French toast feel. It looked and tasted like the bread was dipped in eggs and cooked. The eggs needed a bit more salt but other than that everything else was great.

Quick and quality consistent service by all staff, excellent portions and taste of food. Really enjoyed the new England clam chowder soup, corned beef hash, and French toast. Fairly lively environment but not too loud for conversation. Had to park on a nearby side street, not a lot of parking during busy times.

Effie's pkace was. Delight! It is extremely popular and I can see why! ( : I ordered a make your own GF omelet, and since I have to eat GF (Celiacs) they offered me GF bread, but it was as cooked in the same toaster (Won't work for me. The GF bread will get cross contaminated from the non-GF bread and I will be very sick), but she knew it probably wouldn't work for me, so she offered me a delicious fruit cup instead. No extra charge! Yess! Our waitress was fantastic! All the workers were amazing! ( : I f you have the chance to go, definitely take it! I cannot wait to go again! ( : 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
