The Paindiris family has been serving the West Hartford, CT area since the 1960’s. First with the Concord Luncheonette and now with Effie’s Place Family Restaurant.

Effie’s Place was established in 1990 at 91 Park Road in West Hartford, CT by Charlie and Effie Paindiris. In 1993, their son John graduated from Johnson and Wales University,  joined the Effie’s Place team, and still manages the restaurant today.

Effie’s Place is open seven days a week for Breakfast and Lunch, and six days a week for Dinner (closing on Tuesday’s is 2:30pm). We offer Delivery and Take-Out and have an extensive Catering Menu focused on corporate catering. Effie’s Place offers a variety of platters and specialties for business gatherings, including our delicious home-made pies and cakes. The Paindiris family has been giving back to the West Hartford, CT community for more than 60 years and continue their involvement to this day. John has been involved in the community and specifically with the Park Road Association since he started working at Effie’s Place back in 1993. In 2014, John was elected Co-President of the Park Road Association and is active with a variety of events pertaining to the association including the annual Park Road Parade.
